Easy Birthday Card--Manhattan Style

Want to make an elegant birthday or shower or best wishes card... or whatever!--in less than 15 minutes? This is the project you've been looking for!

I started with Whisper White cardstock, cut it in half and scored the long way. Then I ran it through my Big Shot machine using the Manhattan Flower Embossing Folder. Then I just cut along the edge of the flowers for the pretty 3-D effect.

Next, I stamped-out the pretty butterfly from the Great Friend stamp set. For this project, I chose Orchid Opulence. My friend who will be receiving this card in a few days loves the color purple--not the movie, but the actual color :o) Then I took a medium white halfback pearl from the Pretties Kit and adhered it to the middle of the butterfly using a Mini Glue Dot. I've been using my Pretties Kit a lot lately--the little doo-dads and baubles go great with the butterflies from this and the Flight of the Butterfly set!

For some OOMPH, I adhered the butterfly to the card using a Stampin' Dimensional and folded her little wings forward a bit so it looks like she's ready to fly off the card. For the finishing touch, I stamped-out the sentiment from the Sincere Salutations set in Orchid Opulence. With the help of my handy-dandy little Stamp-a-ma-jig, the placement of the sentiment is spot on! This set is a timeless classic--a must have! It's probably one of the most used sets I own.

And that's all folks!! This was actually the second card I made and it took about 10 minutes. Talk about quick and easy : )
